FUTURE COLLABORATION SECURED FOR MANAGEMENT & SCIENCE UNIVERSITY & INFOSEC

An MOU was signed between Management & Science University (MSU) and Infosec Corporation (Infosec) Japan to explore the development of industrial-academic collaboration in the field of cyber security.

Through this collaboration, Infosec and MSU will contribute the development of research, education and capacity building activities in the area of cyber security through the mutual collaboration between the two organizations.

With research as part of the major components at the university, MSU strives through one of its Centre of Excellences, The Centre for Cyber Security & Big Data. The centre conducts cross border researches as well as industry-relevant studies which are believed to be essential in the merging of efforts with Infosec for long term collaborations.

Infosec aims to contribute to the enhancement of cyber security by utilizing its knowledge on risk management related to information security and cyber-attacks that are getting advanced by the day.

Both MSU and Infosec highly emphasis on quality and standards to ensure the main objective of producing graduates that are balanced, holistic and well-rounded is achieved. MSU, an MQA accredited university with one of the largest student population in Malaysia, is recognised for its strengths in industry employability, entrepreneurial efforts, internationalization, research, community engagement and sustainability as well as promoting lifelong learning. At the international level, MSU is ranked at Top 541+ (Top 51%) Universities in the World through the QS World University Ranking 2020. Its commitment is also to ensure that the partnership with over 1700 industries, including Infosec, is positioned to meet the demands of the workplace. Unique and content-specific programs delivered such as computer forensics, echo the needs to transform an individual to be career ready graduates.

This collaboration is hoped to provide opportunities not only for coping with the advancing of cyber security, but also, in various aspects of talent development through these Japan and Malaysia cooperative efforts.
